Truck driver / labourer

Gippsland Plant and Electrical (GP&E) Pty. Ltd. is a family owned and operated business that has provided civil and electrical construction services throughout Victoria since 1991.  We are currently seeking to employ a suitably skilled and experienced Truck driver / Labourer who will perform a range of tasks including driving, set up of equipment, stand street lights and ultimately work in a hands-on capacity to install underground cable and other tasks as required.

 

To be considered for this position, you must have a current MR Vehicle license (minimum requirement, HR license highly desirable) and certificate of competency for crane.

 

You must possess excellent communication skills, be organised and be able to work to timelines.  You also must be able to pay attention to detail and be able to work within a team environment.

 

This is a permanent full time position, 40 hours per week.  Note that from time to time the role will require overnight/multisite stays away to ensure the work is completed on time.

Excavator / Operator

Gippsland Plant and Electrical (GP&E) Pty. Ltd. is a family owned and operated business that has provided civil and electrical construction services throughout Victoria since 1991.  We are currently seeking to employ a suitably skilled and experienced Excavator Operator/ Cable Installer to work with a small team of field operations staff.  To be considered for this position, you must possess relevant practical experience within the earthmoving / cabling/ electrical industry, be familiar with sub-divison and civil construction work and have experience digging around live services.  Importantly you must hold a competency ticket for excavator.

You must possess excellent communication skills, be organised and be able to work to timelines.  You also must be able to pay attention to detail and be able to work within a team environment.

HR Coordinator

A new opportunity exists for a suitably skilled and experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join the Business Operations team at Interchange Gippsland.  Reporting to the Business Operations Manager the HR Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all of the HR functions of the organisation.  They will undertake a range of duties encompassing recruitment & retention of staff, identification and implementation of staff training, providing HR advice, assisting with payroll.  They will also be responsible for a range of HR reporting to management & the board that the statutory requirements are met within required timeframes.  The person we are seeking for this position will have a keen eye for process improvement, assist in systems enhancement initiatives and will actively contribute to a vibrant, collaborative team focused environment.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a completed Bachelor degree in a relevant Human Resources, Commerce or Business discipline.  In addition you must have a demonstrated understanding of HR principles and knowledge of Fair Work Australia and awards. Established in 1986, Interchange Gippsland is a highly regarded not for profit organisation that provides innovative and flexible support services to individuals with a disability and their families across the Gippsland region. Due to growth in service demand Interchange Gippsland has expanded its service by opening a new branch in Bairnsdale to support people with a disability and their families in East Gippsland. 

 

We are seeking two degree qualified professionals to join the specialist team of Program Coordinators.  The Program Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the organisation delivers services under the NDIS which requires a continuous improvement, innovative and responsive approach within the context of program coordination. Working with participants and their families, you will be required to operate using a strengths based, person centred approach. You will ensure the administrative and supervisory aspects of the role are effectively undertaken and utilise a range of skills including communication, planning and prioritisation, critical problem solving, leadership and stakeholder engagement. Tasks range from activities such as designing appropriate camps and holidays through to Support Coordination as well as supporting and leading small teams of Community Access Workers and Volunteers.
